As the Ministry of Labor clarifies, from 01/01/2023 and with a possible increase by 7%, the ceiling, i.e. the upper limit of the pension, above which the cutter enters, will be set at 4,932 euros. What does this indicate Ministry of Labor, until a final decision is made on the allowances that will be seen by 1,682,116 pensioners of all funds and regardless of the type of pension they receive, for old age, widowhood, disability (out of a total of 2.4 million pensioners), already pensioners, the increase will be applied both to the national , and to the insurance part of the pension. In practice, this means that, for example, an increase of 7% will increase the national pension to 411 euros in 2023 from 384 euros today. Accordingly, the compensatory part of the pension of old pensioners will increase in the same way. In fact, the increase in the national pension will “entrain” a number of figures that are “tied” to the national pension: ceiling on basic pensions, minimum limits for death pensions, and uninsured old-age benefits, which will be adjusted upwards. Thus, older pensioners will also be among the lucky recipients of the increase – a 12-fold national pension is set as a ceiling. As the national pension increases, so does the ceiling for those receiving high pensions. If now some people received a pension above the 4932 euros that the new ceiling will be formed, then they will receive the ceiling.

During the previous period, there was particular concern about how the increases would be calculated for those insured who become retirees during 2023, as there were fears of a wave of mass retirements in 2022, so that those who had already established eligibility for receive the entire increase both to the national and to the compensatory pension. According to the Department of Labor, insured individuals who retire in 2023 will also see an increase in income, matching the 7 percent increase that current retirees will receive from January 1, 2023. The difference between allowances for active pensioners and those who will become pensioners from 01/01/2023 is that they are calculated using a different mechanism.

The maximum allowance is determined by the national pension, which will be at least 7% higher from January.

The first mechanism concerns pensions already granted: each year from 01/01/2023, the total amount of pensions will increase based on the rate obtained from the sum of the annual rate of change of GDP plus the rate of change of the average annual general consumer price index of the previous year, a multiple of 2.

The second relates to pensions payable at any time in the future: the compensatory part of the pension arises on the basis of pensionable earnings. Pensionable earnings are adjusted based on the change in the average general consumer price index. In any case, pensionable earnings are adjusted to the previous year of retirement.

Well, according to the Ministry of Labor, the pensions that will be issued in 2023 will be increased, because the national pension will be increased, for example, by 7%, and pension earnings have multiplied and increased during the inflation of 2022. .

Income increase for 2,472,939 retirees

An increase of 7% will be seen by 1,682,116 pensioners of all Funds and regardless of the type of pension they receive (for old age, widowhood, disability). Of these, 80-85% will see a full 7% increase, while the vast majority of the rest will see more than a 6.5% increase, depending on how individual they are.

For the 931,631 pensioners with large personal differences, 88% of them will also see a pay increase through the elimination of the special solidarity contribution (525,456 beneficiaries with large personal differences) and the emergency payment. €250 (265,367 recipients). At the same time, they will see a significant reduction in their personal differences. From the analysis of the data it follows that:

– 2,472,939 pensioners will see at least one increase (due to a 7% increase or the abolition of the solidarity contribution or the payment of an allowance of 250 euros).

– 1,273,440 pensioners will receive a double bonus (through a combination of 7% bonuses, the abolition of the solidarity contribution or the emergency financial assistance of 250 euros).
