Several photos published by the Ukrainian military on social networks show a new, unprecedented improvisation, where they managed to install a rocket launcher system on the body of a modified Mitsubishi L200 Sportero pickup.
The photos were distributed by the administrators of the Ukraine Weapons Tracker page, but note that it is a “light” rocket launcher, which the fighters of the 129th Territorial Defense Brigade created with the help of tubes removed from the Russian army’s BM-21 rocket launcher.
In addition to the actual launch tubes, the people of Kyiv also installed aiming and stabilization systems on the Mitsubishi car, which are necessary for the use of improvisation in real conditions on the battlefield.

The video resembles a video released by Kyiv forces back in July showing another launcher improvised by the Ukrainian military using tubes salvaged from the Grad BM-21 and a slightly older pickup truck.
Also in July, the Ukrainian military presented another improvisation, which is also one of the most unusual types of weapons in the arsenal: a quad bike with a PKM 7.62x54R machine gun.
Many images and videos showing the improvisations the Ukrainian military had to resort to have gone viral on social media, with another example appearing in June when they revealed how they modified hand grenades to create a type of cluster munition.
But probably the most famous improvisation of the Ukrainian military is the “bait”, which is used to hit Russian military equipment with small grenades launched from commercial drones.
