Out of 957 delegates present, 942 votes were “for”, 15 – zero.

Vosganyan emphasized that ALDE’s goal is to “become a party that matters and return to parliament.”

“Romania must have its own destiny,” said Varuyan Vosganian.

On Friday, an extraordinary congress of ALDE took place, which changed the party’s charter.

Members of the Central Political Bureau of ALDE in early September accused the former president of the formation, Daniel Olteanu, that he took part in the PMP Youth Summer School “without a mandate” from the party leadership. Later, Oltyanu resigned. A temporary deadline until Saturday was given to Alexander Tiberius Decani.
