
Romania’s women’s handball champions Rapid Bucureşti were held to a 30-30 draw with Buducnist Podgorica in Group B of the Champions League on Saturday.
Leading 29-27, “Rapid” managed to fight back in the last minute and take the lead (30-29), but equalized and did not have time to win (the last throw from 9 meters was blocked by the opponent).
The main scorers were Raicevych with 12 goals, respectively, Lopez and Grozav in Buduchnost with 7 goals each in Rapid.

In the first games of Group B, the champion of Romania won: 31-27 against Lokomotiva Zagreb, 32-32 against Metz Handball, 33-26 against Kastamon Belediyesi GSC and 34-32 against Esbjerg team.
“Rapid Bucharest” will play its next match at home against “Storhamar Elite” on October 23.
Vice-champion CSM Bucharest also competes in Group A of the competition.
The Norwegian team Vipers Kristiansand owns the trophy.
