“We are sending this message to our partners: we must protect the sky. Russians do not pay attention to international law. They don’t care about any international treaties or conventions,” Galushchenko said.

He also told CNN that this was the first time since the start of the war that Russia had “dramatically” struck Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, and that Ukraine was working to quickly restore connectivity from other sources.

The Ministry of Defense of Russia previously confirmed that its forces continue to carry out long-range airstrikes against the military and energy infrastructure of Ukraine.

According to reports, six people were injured during the second Russian attack on the Ladyzhyn thermal power plant (LTEP) in the Vinnytsia region of Ukraine.

Halushchenko’s comments came after some NATO and UN countries warned that Russia could be committing a war crime by continuing to attack civilian targets.
