Secretary of the Security and National Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, told Ukrainians on Monday that Vladimir Putin is trying to cause chaos and panic, but he is running out of missiles, Ukrainian Pravda reports.
“Regarding today’s powerful missile attack, which almost the entire country felt today precisely in our energy system, this is once again a manifestation of weakness, it is a manifestation of the understanding that he (nor Vladimir Putin) will lose, Danilov said in an interview with Ukrainian Pravda journalists “.
“In this way, he wants to sow chaos and panic in us. But I want to assure all our citizens that he does not have many of these missiles left, and sooner or later they will run out. And we know for sure that there are already significantly fewer of them than before February 24,” he added.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said on Wednesday afternoon that “all the targets” it targeted during attacks on Ukrainian cities had been hit.
According to the latest figures released by the Ukrainian authorities around 15:00, the death toll has risen to 11, most of them in Kyiv, and the number of injured is at least 64.
Moldova charged that three missiles launched by the Russian military crossed its airspace before falling on Ukraine, having been launched from the Black Sea.
Western sanctions undermine Russia’s ability to replenish its missile arsenal
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhnyi, said that the Russians fired 75 missiles, of which 41 missiles were intercepted by the country’s air defense.
Earlier last month, Ukrainian intelligence said Russia had fewer than 200 modern Iskander cruise missiles left, but Putin’s armed forces still keep thousands of the missiles, more than 30 years old, in military storage.
The biggest problem for the Russian arms industry is the replacement of high-precision missiles, since the Russian economy depends on the import of electronic components from the West.
But the European Union, the United States, and other Western countries have banned the export to Russia of such components that are necessary for modern Russian weapons.
