
OUR France urged its citizens who are in Iran leave that country as soon as possible, as they risk being arbitrarily detained.
“Any visitor from France, including those with dual citizenship, is at high risk of arrest, arbitrary detention and unfair trial,” the Foreign Ministry website says.
Paris this week accused Iran of “dictatorial acts” and said two French citizens were being held hostage after a video was released on Thursday in which they allegedly admitted to being a spy. Tehran blames “outside enemies” for the protests and riots that have been going on for weeks.
Earlier, the French Foreign Ministry called on Iran to release two French citizens.
