According to the British newspaper, Ukraine is going to become a partner of the two Iberian countries and will host one of the groups of the tournament. The plan was reportedly approved by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the governments of the two countries.
As stated in the publication, the upcoming cooperation is expected to be announced at a press conference on Wednesday. The proposal is based on the idea that football can bring back hope and peace as Ukraine has been at war with Russia for 7.5 months.
