Romania’s national youth football team, coached by Emil Sandoi, will enter the second round of the UEFA EURO 2023 final group draw. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 18 at 19:00 at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest.

16 national teams will be divided into 4 groups. The first two places will advance to the quarterfinals.

Block 1: Spain, Portugal, Germany, France

Block 2: Netherlands, England, Italy, Romania (Position B1)

Block 3: Croatia, Switzerland, Belgium, Czech Republic

Block 4: Ukraine, Norway, Israel, Georgia (position A1).

The final tournament will be organized in Romania in two cities, Cluj-Napoca and Bucharest, with each city hosting a group. It will take place from June 21 to July 8, 2023.

The stadiums in Romania where the matches will be held are Steaua and Giulesti from Bucharest and Dr. Constantin Redulescu” and “Cluj Arena” from Cluj-Napoca.

The opening match will take place in Romania, and the last act of the competition will be held in Georgia.

The 2023 edition will also determine the teams that will qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics. France, as the host, is already qualified. The other three places available for Europe will be filled by the top three places in next summer’s final tournament, excluding France’s representative.
