With a strong message on the jersey, Denmark will take part in the World Cup in Qatar. The Scandinavian team has chosen three monochrome looks for a football competition starting in less than two months.
However, both the country’s flag and the sports company’s logo will be covered. Thus, they decided to actually protest against what is happening in Qatar and the inhuman conditions in which those who work in the organization live.
“We do not want our signage to be visible during a tournament that claimed thousands of lives,” the statement said. Denmark is in the fourth group of the World Cup and will play France, Tunisia and Australia.
It is worth noting that several former and current players have said they will boycott the event. Philip Lahm and Eric Cantona spoke openly about the conditions prevailing in the country.
