Russia’s State Duma (lower house) may discuss next Thursday, September 29, bills to annex Russian-occupied parts of Ukraine to Russia, Russian news agency TASS reported today, citing an unnamed source.
On Friday, Moscow began holding referendums on joining Russia in four occupied regions of Ukraine, prompting condemnation from Kyiv and the West, which called the vote rigged and promised not to recognize the results.
Voting is expected to close on Tuesday, September 27th.
