Bodnar and Radish led the race separately, from one end to the other, winning with a time of 06 min. 47 s 77/100. The silver went to the Dutch Rus De Jong and Laila Youssif (06:51.02), and the bronze went to the Irish Sanita Puspure and Zoe Hyde (06:52.81), writes Agerpres.
They also gave Romania its third gold medal at the world championships in Racita, after those won by Ionela Kozmiuk in the lightweight women’s singles (Friday) and the men’s crew of Marius Kozmiuk and Sergiu Bejan (Saturday).
Also on Sunday, Andriy-Sebastian Cornea and Christian-Ionuc Koiokaru took fifth place in the men’s double rowing C final (06:30.99)

The men’s 8+1 (M8+) crew of Miheica Ciganescu, Mugurel Semchuk, Florin Arteni, Kostiantyn Adam, Marius Kozmiuk, Sergiu Bejan, Stefan Berariu, Florin Lehaci and Adrian Munteanu finished 6th in the A final in Racice.
