The crew of Marius Kozmiuk and Sergiu Bejan won gold medals in the men’s sculls on Saturday at the World Rowing Championships in Racice, Czech Republic.

Kozmiyuk and Bezhan showed a time of 06 min 28 s 06/100, ahead of crews from Spain (Jaime Canalejo Passos, Javier García Ordonez), 06 min 29 s 27/100, and Great Britain (Oliver Winn-Griffith, Thomas George), 06 min. 30 sec. 86/100.

Marius Kozmiuk and Sergiu Bejan are also European champions in this competition, in which Kozmiuk is the Olympic vice-champion (together with Ciprian Tudose), writes Agerpres.

It is the second medal won by Romania in Racita, after the gold won by Ionela Kozmiuc, Marius’ wife, in the women’s single sculls on Friday.

Saturday, Fr women’s doubles, Ioana Vrynchana and Denis TilveskaEuropean champions this year in double frames and eight plus one, rating on fourth placewith a time of 07 min. 09 sec. 38/100 ahead of New Zealand (Grace Prendergast, Kerry Williams), 07 mins. 03 sec. 76/100, Netherlands (Imkje Clevering, Veronique Meester), 07 min. 06 sec. 02/ 100 and United States (Madeleine Wanamaker, Claire Collins), 07 min. 08 sec. 03/100.

Also on Saturday, Romania (Olena Logofetu, Cristina Druga, Ioana-Medalina Moroshan, Patricia Sires) won the C final in women’s four rowing (06:34.17).
