The man, who was wearing a ‘Stop UK Private Jets’ T-shirt, ran onto the court during the exchange of balls at the start of the second set and sat cross-legged by the net.

Those present were stunned when he poured the liquid on his right hand and set it on fire. Security personnel quickly intervened and extinguished the fire before removing the protester from the field.

The 20-year-old protester, named Kai, is a member of the End UK Private Jets group, which claims that “carbon emissions in 2022 are genocide”, the Daily Mail notes.

Stefanos Tsitsipas beats Diego Schwartzman – Europe leads the rest of the world 2-0

The European team leads 2-0 against the rest of the world at the 2022 Laver Cup after Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas beat Argentina’s Diego Schwartzman.

Ranked No. 6 in the world, Tsitsipas defeated the ATP No. 17 player in just one hour and 15 minutes of play, 6-2, 6-1.

According to the schedule announced by the organizers of the Laver Cup, there are four matches scheduled today, and the last one will be really special.

Roger Federer will mark his last official appearance in tennis, and his partner will be… Rafael Nadal.

This will be the last FEDAL that tennis fans will see in action, with the indication that this is if the two great rivals are teammates.

Roger and Rafa will meet Francis Tiafoe and Jack Sock in a doubles match that will be remembered by many tennis fans as the “Last Dance” of the great champion Roger Federer (starting at around 22:30).

What is the Laver Cup format?

Both teams have six players. A win earns a point on the first day of racing. There will be three singles and one doubles match.

On the second day of matches, a win brings two points. There will also be three singles and one doubles match.

On the third game day, success will be awarded with three points. After the doubles match, there will be up to three singles matches (depending on the score in the table).

The first team to score 13 points will be declared the winner (total of 24 points at stake).

No player may play more than two singles matches during the three days of competition. Also, four out of six athletes must perform in doubles.

At the Laver Cup 2022 (September 23-25), Roger Federer competes in the same team as Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Casper Ruud and Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Team Europe competes at the O2 Arena in London against Team Rest of the World: Felix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz, Diego Schwartzman, Alex de Minaur, John Isner and Jack Sock.
