Spin-off film series”The Addams Family“with title”Wednesday” producer Tim Burton, now has an official release date. All episodes will be available on the streaming platform on November 23, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving in America.
The protagonist of the story is the daughter of Gomez and Morticia Adams, Wednesday, who attends Nevermore Academy, where she tries to improve new metaphysical abilities and solve a mysterious murder connected to her family’s past.
“Wednesday is now a teenager and we’ve never seen her at that age,” said Jenna Ortega, who plays her. “We didn’t want to introduce her as other teenage girls, but we didn’t want her to be left in the dark. Besides, we haven’t seen her on screen in such a long time. But now the environment is at the center of the show, in every scene. There is an opportunity to give her character more scope,” the actress said, among other things.
As Morticia and Gomez, we meet Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán, respectively. But besides them, other beloved characters enter the story, for example, Wednesday’s brother, Pugsley.
