This time, a Canadian motorist paid for these malfunctions: although his Tesla Model S, bought in 2013 for more than 140,000 Canadian dollars (about 105,500 euros), was refused to open, the brand demands at least $28,000 from him. to replace the battery!

Tesla Battery: Air Conditioning Problem?

Indeed, Mario Celaya posted a video on TikTok to explain the situation, and it has since been viewed more than 11 million times. According to the owner of this Model S, his Tesla is “totally dead”.

This battery problem seems to be related to a air conditioner condenser leak : liquid flows onto the battery, causing it to malfunction. The issue is known to the brand and has already been reported by several other drivers, but Tesla doesn’t seem to have found a solution. This will affect the 2013 and 2014 models.

Tesla battery: exorbitant cost
