Liberals want to keep the price subsidy only for diesel, not gasoline, according to HotNews.ro political sources. On the other hand, the Social Democrats do not agree with the proposal of their colleagues in power, considering it “discriminatory”.
According to the sources cited, the Liberals believe that it is necessary to keep the diesel subsidy only because gasoline prices have stabilized. In addition, PNL intends to bring this proposal to the coalition meeting at 5:00 p.m.
At the same time, the leaders of PNL, PSD and UDMR must decide whether the amount of the subsidy will be kept at the level of 50 money.
It should be noted that the PSD does not agree with the PNL proposal and wants to continue lowering the price of both diesel and gasoline. Political sources told HotNews.ro that keeping the diesel-only subsidy “would be a discriminatory measure.”
At the same time, the UDMR advocates that the fuel compensation measure for both gasoline and diesel fuel be extended until spring, as the budget can cover these costs.
The fuel subsidy was applied for three months and ends on September 30. The budget impact for three months amounted to 900 million lei.
