However, the Duke of Sussex has now issued a more extended farewell message for his grandmother and Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, and many believed that the reason he delayed the official farewell was the anniversary of the terrorist attack on the Twin Towers.

“As we celebrate the life of Her Majesty the Queen and mourn her loss, we all remember her guiding compass to many and her dedication to service and duty. He enjoyed the honor and respect of the entire planet. Her unwavering grace and dignity remained true throughout her life, and now they continue in her eternal footprint. In the latter, Harry added to his farewell message: “Grandma, although our last goodbye is deeply saddening, I will always be grateful for all our first meetings.”

The grandson of Queen Elizabeth did not fail to recall the moments spent with her: “I love the moments that I shared with you and other important moments in between. You are already terribly missed not only by us, but by the whole world.”
