Roman Semenuga, the deputy head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, told Ukrainian television: “We can officially announce the liberation of more than 40 settlements. The situation is changing incredibly quickly, and there are many more such settlements (vacated).

Semenuga clarified that the number 40 applies only to those areas where the situation is completely controlled by the Kyiv troops, and Ukrainian flags were raised much more.

“The situation has positive dynamics. And it’s really changing,” he said.

Semenuga also stated that it is incorrect to say that the Russians are simply leaving. “Fierce, fierce fighting is going on in many parts of the front and everything is very, very difficult. If we are talking about the military component, then we just have to be patient,” he said.
