The 26-year-old defensive midfielder, born on January 11, 1996, took his first football steps in his native Mali. He made his first professional steps in 2013, playing for Real Bamako. Two years later, in 2015, he was transferred to the Austrian Red Bull Salzburg, from where he was immediately loaned to Liefering, where he played 26 times (he had two assists).
In 2016, he returned to Salzburg, where he made 134 appearances, scoring two goals and providing six assists. During this time, he played in the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League against Marseille. In 2019, he moved to Germany, specifically to Hoffenheim. He played 86 matches for her, 78 of them in the Bundesliga, scoring two goals and giving five assists.
