PSD President Marcel Čolaku said on Thursday evening in Craiova that pensions should be increased for everyone, regardless of the amount of the pension, and the increase should start at 10%.

“I said, this is not the first time: it is necessary to start with 10%, categorically. By increasing pensions, we increase it for everyone, both those with a lower pension and those with a larger pension. I believe that we need to find a way, as I found when I came to the government, the program that I worked with Mrs. Olgutsa Vasilescu, within the framework of which in certain areas, for more than three and a half million pensioners, we also provided this assistance to a certain period, especially winter, and you can see how well they have come,” said Çolaku, answering a journalist’s question about pensions, according to Agerpres.

The PSD leader also noted that for the first time in 30 years since the revolution, the budget law will be presented in November in order to have time for debate.

“It would be the first time in 30 years after the revolution to go to the budget law in November in order to have time to discuss the most important law that is being voted on in the parliament. From my point of view and the point of view of my colleagues, those who influenced the budget. I repeat, I think there will be greater economic growth, we will fit in, it is inhumane to talk about the decision to raise the pension below 10%,” Marcel Čolaku also stated.
