Adobe, the company known for software such as Photoshop and Acrobat, has announced that it will make the most significant acquisition in its history: $20 billion for Figma, a software development company.

Adobe has a market cap of $174 billion, revenue of $4.43 billion last quarter, and profit of $1.14 billion.

Figma was founded in 2012 and is engaged in the development of cloud software. Adobe will add to the Figma platform a number of functions from its programs – illustrations, photos, video technologies.

Figma creates collaborative tools for developing web applications. In 2021, Figma was valued at $10 billion.

Adobe’s largest acquisition in history took place in 2018, when it paid $4.75 billion for Marketo Inc. In the past two years, Adobe has made two acquisitions worth more than a billion dollars each.
