The governor of Luhansk region, Serhiy Gaidai, says that Russian troops have returned to the city of Kreminna (which is in this Russian-occupied Ukrainian region), which was “completely empty” yesterday, and have taken down Ukrainian flags that local partisans had raised to celebrate the city’s liberation, reports The Guardian.
Yesterday, a similar situation occurred in Svatovo – Russian troops left, but returned after some time, Gaidai said. Russian troops left another city in the Luhansk region, Starobilsk, yesterday, but have not yet returned.
“We are just waiting for… the (Ukrainian) army,” wrote Serhii Gaidai in his Telegram account.
As in other parts of Luhansk region, in Kreminnaya and other occupied settlements, the Russian troops turned off the mobile Internet so that people could not transmit information to us,” Gaidai added.
The Ukrainian government official also warned that the occupied territories are experiencing an acute shortage of fuel due to the mass departure of the Russian occupiers and their accomplices.
