PAE ARIS announces partnership with coach Alan Scott Pardew, just like his full name.

Alan Pardew, who was born on 18 July 1961 in Wimbleton, England, has signed a one-year contract with our club (with the possibility of an extension for another year).

The legendary English manager’s coaching career began shortly before 2000 at Reading, with whom he managed to achieve promotion from the Championship to the Premier League.

In October 2003, the British manager signed for West Ham, with whom he won another promotion to the top flight and also reached the FA Cup final in 2005-06.

After three years at West Ham, Pardew left in December 2006 to take charge of Charlton Athletic a few days later.

Charlton’s relegation that year was inevitable and Pardew remained at the club for another two years in an attempt to regain promotion to the Premier League. In November 2008, Pardew and Charlton Athletic parted ways.

His next team was Southampton who were playing in League One at the time. Alan Pardew stayed at Southampton for one season (2009-10) and celebrated winning the League Trophy at Wembley.

In the middle of the following year, he made the important decision to sit on the bench for Newcastle. There he lived the best five years of his career (2010-2015) as his team played good football, won a trip to Europe and was named Premier League Manager of the Year in 2011-12.

It was Crystal Palace who snatched him away from Newcastle in January 2015 with a very good offer, and Pardew’s start at the new club was amazing.

In fact, under his leadership, Crystal Palace reached a historic FA Cup final in 2015/16, where they eventually lost to Manchester United. In December 2016, Pardew said goodbye to Crystal Palace.

After a short stint on the bench at West Brom in 2017-18, our team’s new manager put his skills to the test outside of England with a year at Dutch club Den Haag (2019-20).

Alan Pardew’s last job before moving to Greece was in neighboring Bulgaria at CSKA Sofia, first as a technical director and then as a coach (2020-2022).
