
Czech pair Barbora Krejcikova and Kateryna Siniakova won the US Open women’s doubles final on Sunday, the final Grand Slam tournament of the year.
Krejcikova and Siniakova (3-seeds) lost to the American team of Katie McNally/Taylor Townsend 3-6, 7-5, 6-1 in the final. The match lasted two hours and 10 minutes.
Barbora and Kateryna will receive $688,000, while Katie and Taylor settled for $344,000.
This year, Barbora Krejchikova and Kateryna Sinyakova won the Australian Open and Wimbledon. They also triumphed together at Roland Garros (2018 and 2021) and at Wimbledon (2018).
