The Olympic gold medalist, after his feat today, became the winner of the 2022 series and became the first Greek track and field athlete (for men) to win the coveted diamond!

Athlete Giorgos Pomaski had an unsuccessful first attempt, and in the second he landed at 8.14 meters. and moved up to first place. On his third attempt, his jump was 7.96m and fourth at 8.03m, but he temporarily lost first place as the American Marquis Deddy reached 8.16m. However, the Greek champion reacted instantly, scoring 8.33 meters. on the fifth attempt and 8.42 m on the sixth and last jump.
