
The “EY Entrepreneur Of The Year” award, a competition organized by EY worldwide in more than 65 countries, can be the crowning achievement of an entrepreneur’s work and vision. Now in its 6th year, the EY Entrepreneur of the Year program offers Romanian entrepreneurs the opportunity to connect with the national and global entrepreneurial community. The winner will go to the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year Gala in Monte Carlo in 2023.
What it means to win the “EY Entrepreneur of the Year” award
- Connect with the global community of entrepreneurs at the gala event in Monte Carlo: over 1,000 people from over 65 countries;
- Personal branding by presenting entrepreneurial achievements at the national and international levels for the winner;
- Exchange of best business practices with the most famous local and international entrepreneurs;
- Access to EY training programs for entrepreneurs, such as NextGen Academy and Entrepreneurial Winning Women;
- The winner has the right to use the EOY logo as a certificate of recognition of his entrepreneurial activity.
Participation criteria
Application deadline: September 30, 2022
- The candidate (entrepreneur) must have a business established and operating for at least 3 years, and for the nomination “EY New Entrepreneur of the Year” in the field of technology – at least 1 year.
- The candidate must be active in the business (not be a non-executive or part-time director);
- Income stream for at least 2 years;
- The entrepreneur must own a significant part of the authorized capital of the company (minimum 20%);
- Have at least 10 employees;
Entrepreneurs who do not have Romanian citizenship can also participate.
Jury of the competition
- Julian Stanciu – executive chairman of eMag – president of the jury
- Zdenek Romanek – president and chief executive officer of Raiffeisen Bank – member of the jury
- Christina Vercere – CEO of OMV Petrom – member of the jury
- Fady Chreih – CEO of Regina Maria – member of the jury
- Varga Moayed – business advisor, former strategy director of UiPath – member of the jury
- Adrian Mihai – CEO and co-founder of FAN Courier – member of the jury
Evaluation criteria they will take into account the impact that the company has on the social environment, the purpose and strategic direction of the business model, the potential for growth and scalability of the business, but not least, the emphasis will also be on the entrepreneurial spirit.
