Rudd will compete in a Grand Slam four for the second time after it was revealed he reached the Roland Garros final this year. The Norwegian continues to hunt for the top of the world rankings.
In Nadal’s absence, the only threat to the 23-year-old is Carlos Alcarat. If two tennis players reach the final, they will fight not only for the title, but also for the first racket of the world.
