
A 45-year-old man was found dead after Fire in his house, in the SODA district of Chania.
According to the fire service, the man lost consciousness while extinguishing a small fire in an apartment on Symbulaki Street.
6 firefighters with 2 vehicles arrived at the scene, EKAV and the Greek police were called at the same time.

The 46-year-old man lived alone and the door to the apartment was locked, so firefighters had to break it open to get inside.
The fire department is conducting an initial investigation into the incident.
The most likely cause of the tragedy is a lit cigarette that burned the mattress on the bed of a 46-year-old man. The unfortunate man probably died of intoxication.
