The Al-Sharjah group from the United Arab Emirates, coached by Romanian Cosmin Olerou, will soon announce the player’s transfer from FC Barcelona, AFP reports.
Miralem Pjanic from Barcelona to Al-Sharjah
According to the Catalan media, midfielder Miralem Pjanic will move from “Barcelona” to “Al-Sharjah”.
Blaugrana coach Xavi confirmed that the player will leave Barcelona.
“He is a player who could help us (not with Viktoria Plzen). However, he decided to leave to try to get more minutes or opportunities.
Everyone decides their future, he was a professional until the end and I thank him for that,” Xavi in a press conference ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League game with Viktoria Plzen at Camp Nou.
The 32-year-old Pjanic was transferred by Barcelona from Juventus in 2020, the transfer amount was about 60 million euros.
Miralem was loaned to Beşiktaş last season, and things didn’t look too good for the 32-year-old midfielder at Barcelona this season (he wasn’t part of Xavi’s tactical plans).
