Those of you who are its users Twitter You may have noticed that today (February 9) many of the official accounts of the organizations and individuals you follow have started one word tweets on the topic of each page.
Somehow we read the “universe” from NASA, deadpool from the official page of the Marvel superhero of the same name, and others have also secured a bit of humor, for example Washington Post who tweeted “news” while the President of the United States Joe Biden in turn, he tweeted what he stands for: “democracy.”

And this “craze” for one-word tweets doesn’t stop there: Starbucks, Google Maps but also a cricketer Sachin Tendulkar they decided to follow the dictates of fashion on social media.

But how did this strange and sometimes funny trend start?
The first account to post a monologue on September 1st was American Railroad. amtrak, who simply wrote “trains”. The tweet in question had 21.4k retweets and many companies and official accounts followed suit.

We don’t know if there’s something behind this trend or how long it will last, but the number of one-word tweets is increasing as the mystery is uncovered.
