Data on requests for natural gas through the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline from Russia to Europe show that the flow will resume from Saturday morning, when repairs are completed, Gazprom said.
Natural gas deliveries are 14,437,507 kilowatt-hours (kWh/h) over a four-hour period from 5 am to 9 am (Greek time) on Saturday, according to the operator’s website on Friday.
In essence, these are capacity requests for the transportation of natural gas, which can be changed by the supplier if necessary.
The amount is similar to the levels before the last maintenance, which is only 20% of the pipeline capacity.
Moscow slashed the pipeline’s supply to 40% of capacity in June and 20% in July, blaming maintenance problems and sanctions that it says prevent equipment from being returned and installed.
Reducing flows through Nord Stream has complicated efforts across Europe to conserve gas for the winter, when governments fear Russia could cut off flows entirely.
This week, Gazprom announced that the three-day repair of the Portovaya compressor station will last from 4 am to 6 pm. Wednesday until 4 am. Saturday.
