
In the presence of the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Bishop Philotheos of Oreon was sworn in. Yannis Bratakos as Deputy Prime Minister.
Mr. Bratakos will replace Grigoris Dimitriadis as the prime minister’s general secretary following his resignation following an investigation into the surveillance case.
The following is a biography of Yannis Bratakos.
Yannis Bratakos was born in 1968. He studied production and management and also studied political economy at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has been the CEO and one of the founders of the IT company DD SYNERGY since 1999, and has been active in the field of IT since 1995 and especially in services for SAP software.
He was a non-executive member of the Board of Directors of GRIGORIS MIKROGEVMATA and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CAPE CONSULTING.
He has been elected to the board of directors of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2006. In December 2017, he was elected Vice President of EBEA, taking over the issues of innovation, new technologies, start-ups, investments and the Greek Startup Ecosystem as a whole.
Since February 2021, he has been a member of the Strategy Advisory Committee of the Master’s Program in Service Management at the Athens University of Economics and Business.
In September 2021, he was elected President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Yannis Bratakos is divorced and the father of two children, Angelos and Alexandros.
