Nearly 50,000 checks social tourism were activated during August, according to him Public Employment Service (DYPA – vol. OAED).

Among the regional units with the highest number of activated checks in tourist accommodation between August 1 and 31, 2022 were also the regional unit of Halkidiki with 5,191 checks (10.59%), Pieria with 3,803 checks (7.76%), Preveza with 3774 (7.70%), Lefkada with 2360 (4.82%) and Argolis with 2317 checks (4.73%).

We remind you that holidays under the enhanced social tourism program for 2022-2023 can be spent until July 31, 2023 at tourist accommodation places of the DYPA supplier register.

This is a highly expanded program for both beneficiaries and suppliers, as it is characterized by a reduced private participation of beneficiaries in the cost of overnight stays in tourist places and increased subsidized prices for suppliers.

Beneficiaries and beneficiaries may spend up to six nights in tourist accommodation, which they select from the DYPA provider registry after their direct consultation with the provider.

Especially for accommodation in Leros, Lesbos, Chios, Kos and Evros prefecture, you can spend up to ten nights without private participation, while in the accommodation of the municipalities of Istia – Edipsos and Mantoudi – Limni – Ag. Annas of Northern Evia and Samos can pass up to twelve nights completely free of charge. In addition to accommodation in tourist sites, ferry tickets are also subsidized.
