It will probably be a while before we see Chris Rock’s name (pictured) and “Oscar” in the same sentence again. The famous comedian’s experience last year, when his colleague Will Smith took the stage and slapped him in the face over a harmless joke The Rock made about Smith’s wife, seems still fresh. The Rock therefore turned down an offer to present this year’s awards, as he said it would be tantamount to returning to the scene of the crime. Last April, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences suspended Smith from the Oscars for ten years.

This is due to award-winning composer John Williams (pictured), who said he would like to write music for a new film about 007. Williams is currently writing music for the new Indiana Jones. His compositions for the films Star Wars, Harry Potter and Jurassic Park are legendary.
