“PSD will propose in the Coalition to raise the minimum wage to 3,000 lei, keeping the non-taxation mechanism of 200 lei, but the amount will be mandatory. This means that 2,800 lei will be taxed and 200 lei will remain untaxed (…) We will propose to increase the minimum pension from 1,000 lei to 1,100 lei. Also, in the Coalition, we will also propose to increase the cost of the pension ball from 1,586 lei to 1,745 lei,” Budai said at a press conference in Neptune.
Budai stated that the budgetary impact on the increase of pensions alone amounts to 11 billion lei.
At the same time, the Minister of Labor also voiced a proposal that provides for awarding students who won medals at international Olympiads. Yes, the bronze medal in such a competition will be awarded 5,000 euros, silver – 8,000 euros, and gold – 10,000 euros. And the teachers of these students will be rewarded.
The proposals voiced by Marius Budai are part of a package of social measures prepared by the PSD, but not agreed upon in the Coalition.
