
A 68-year-old man was handcuffed in the early hours of Monday (August 29) by members of the Investigation Department of the Attica Security Directorate as he awaited a decision from the Tripartite Criminal Court of Appeal of Athens. , by which he was sentenced to 16 years in prison for the crimes of conspiracy to commit fraud, by continuation, by profession and by habit and forgery by use by continuation.
The fugitive established a company in the past and, by drawing up and using forged documents, deceived the credit institutions cooperating with said company, obtaining an illegal financial benefit of at least 350,000 euros.
The arrested man was taken to the Appellate Prosecutor of Athens.
