Britney Spears’ mother, Lynn Spears, hit back at the pop star, who said in an audio clip that she feels abandoned by her mother because of her conservative views.

“Britney, all my life I tried to support your dreams and desires!” Lynn wrote on Instagram along with an old black and white photo of herself with the singer.

“And I tried my best to help you out of trouble!” I have never turned my back on you, and I will never turn my back on you!”

Lynn claimed that Britney was the one who turned her back, adding, “Your rejections of the countless times you kicked me out and the countless calls to me make me feel hopeless! I’ve tried everything.”

He then joked about the public post, “I love you so much, but this conversation is just for you and me, up close, in private.”

Hours earlier, Britney had blamed her family for the abuse she experienced during her 13-year guardianship, stressing that she felt “angrier” to her mom than she did to her father and former guardian Jamie Spears.
