To recognize this position would be a moral issue, and Mr. Prime Minister recognized that this was a political decision and said that he would raise this issue at the first meeting of the coalition.
The UDMR stated on its face that it supports these demands of ours. (…) We have one more, Mr. Cholak. He said he doesn’t like it, the public doesn’t like it, you (the press editor) don’t like it. And I said that you will scream for a month, and then you will be silent. We have mayors who cannot get into a center for the elderly because they have nothing to do with their 2,000 lei pension. I think the government has this duty because I told them that we will raise the flag in the elections and if you don’t see me now, I might not see you next time,” said Dorinel Soare, the mayor of the commune Nicholas
Representatives of the Association of Municipalities of Romania and the Association of Municipalities met in the Government with Prime Minister Nicolae Čuke and Minister of Regional Development Čeke Attila.
