EFET recalls frozen fruit mix

A frozen fruit mix that has been found to contain hepatitis A virus has been withdrawn from the market by the Unified Food Control Agency.

In particular, Mr. ADDRESS was informed through the Early Warning System for Food and Feed (RASFF) about the distribution by the Belgian company “ARDO ARDOOIE NV” on the Greek market of a mixture of frozen fruits in which the presence of hepatitis A virus was detected.

Following further investigation by EFET, the following products were found:

  1. product with the trade name “ARDO FRUITBERRY MIX” and expiration date preferably until 11/11/2024, in a 1 kg package, sold by the company “MART KAS & KARY ANONYMI EMPORIKI ETERIA SA”.
  2. product with the trademark “ARDO FRUITBERRY MIX” and expiration date preferably until 05.11.2024, in a pack of 2.5 kg, distributed by the companies: i) “METRO SA” ii) “IOSIF MAKRIDAKIS SA” and iii) “GOGGAKIS SA “.

EFET has requested a recall/withdrawal of the products in question, and the relevant reviews are already underway. At the same time, he urges consumers who have purchased the above products not to consume them.
