Josep Guardiola (Manchester City) and Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool) were also nominated for the trophy of the best coach of the year.

The coach of the year was chosen in women’s football Sarina Vigman. She brought the England women’s team the title of European champion, won in July this year in the final with Germany.

Former technician Arrigo Sacchi received the UEFA President’s Award. “Arrigo Sacchi was a visionary coach. I was never afraid. I have a lot of respect for Mr. Sacchi,” said UEFA head Alexander Ceferin.
