Kevin Costner: He wears a cowboy hat again in Horizon

Kevin Costner is back on the big screen wearing a cowboy hat, again for the needs of his new movie called Horizon, in multiple roles.

New Warner Bros. movie and New Line covers the 15 years before, during, and after the American Civil War (1861-1865), during the expansion and settlement of the American West. This epic journey is full of danger and intrigue, from the elements of Nature, the conflict with the natives, to the ruthless behavior of those who tried to colonize it. He edited the script himself, along with John Byrd.

Sources have exclusively told Deadline that American actor Luke Wilson has joined the cast along with Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington and Jamie Campbell Bower. In fact, he was one of the first actors who, upon meeting Costner, immediately took on the role.

Remarkably, the beloved actor is only returning to direct for the fourth time in 32 years, following the 2003 box office hit Open Range and the Oscar-winning Dance with Wolves, in which he starred, produced and directed. The film won seven Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director.

According to Variety, Horizon will begin filming in late August in Utah and will run for 220 days.
