Flavius ​​Stoican replaces Alexandra Pelici at Mioveni, who parted ways amicably with the club after the Argentinian side picked up just one point in the first six legs.

At the age of 45, Stoykan signed a one-year contract, and his goal is to “stay in the Super League.”

According to the official website of the Argeş group, Stojkan is a former “iconic” player of Romanian football who played 19 matches for the national team. He played for “Drobeta-Turnu Severyn”, “University of Craiova”, “Dynamo”, “Shakhtar” (Donetsk), “Metalist” (Kharkiv) and again for “Dynamo”.

As a coach, he has so far coached teams such as Minerul Mehedinţi, CSM Reşita, Dinamo II, Chindia, CS Mioveni, Dinamo, FC Voluntari, Zimbrul Chişinău, Pandurii Tg Jiu, Poli Iaşi, Petrolul Ploiesti, Viitorul Pandurii, FC U Craiova, Dinamo.

Stoican was also the head coach of CS Mioveni in 2013. He was then appointed after the team’s return to the second division.

On Wednesday, the new coach will hold the first training session with the team. His official debut will take place on Saturday away from Petrolul Ploiesti in the seventh stage of the Super League.
