
Police in Cyprus arrested a Ukrainian woman suspected of threatening a group of Russians during the celebration of the National Flag Day, local media reported on Tuesday with reference to Reuters.
The 55-year-old woman appeared armed with a knife when a group of about 20 flag-waving Russians gathered in the coastal city of Larnaca on Monday night. They were going to start a motorcade through the city.

She was remanded in custody on suspicion of assault, public drunkenness, possession of a weapon and disturbing the peace, police spokesman Harris Hajiiasemis told the semi-official Cyprus News Agency.
Thousands of Russians and Ukrainians live in Cyprus. On Saturday, a small group of Russians gathered in the city of Limassol, waving flags and forming the “Z” symbol that has become synonymous with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
