
In the last 24 hours, 3,865 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection were registered, which is 989 less than the previous day, the Ministry of Health reported on Saturday, citing Agerpres. The highest incidence is in Bucharest and in the districts of: Cluj, Timișoara, Ilfov and Brasov.
According to the cited source, 691 new cases registered in the last 24 hours are among re-infected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the first illness.
The most new cases of COVID in Bucharest – 680 and in the counties of TimiÈ™oara – 195, Cluj – 190 and Prahova – 187.
The highest incidence is in Bucharest – 5.81 (6.12 on Thursday) and in the counties: Cluj – 6.1, Timis – 5.46, Ilfov – 5.03 and Brasov – 5.
Over the last day, 3,460 PCR-PCR tests were conducted (2,311 – according to the diagnosis and medical protocol and 1,149 – according to the request) and 13,443 express antigen tests. To date, 13,391,213 RT-PCR tests and 11,089,437 rapid antigen tests have been processed at the national level.
In total, 3,184,930 cases of infection with the new coronavirus have been registered in Romania since the beginning of the pandemic.
In contrast to new cases, 212 people were reconfirmed positive after retesting patients who had already tested positive.
