
New business initiative support program to employ 3,000 young people freelancers aged 18 to 29, with a focus on the digital economy, with a total budget of 45 million euros, is advancing Public Employment Service (DYPA – t.OAED).
The total amount of the subsidy is 14,800 euros, the main purpose of which is to promote the employment of the unemployed through their support for the creation of new enterprises.
In particular, the purpose of the action is, as indicated in the announcement of the program, to promote the self-employment of 3,000 unemployed people aged 18 to 29, with an emphasis on new enterprises that will immediately switch to advanced digital practices in the entire range of their activities (from headquarters to factories). and from the warehouse to the distribution of their products or services) as dictated by the requirements of the “4th industrial revolution” (Industry 4.0).
The digital economy sector includes, for example, telecommunications services (fixed-mobile-Internet telephony), PC services, software (hardware consulting services, software consulting services, database management, PC maintenance and repair, etc.). Internet service provision, broadband service, office automation system, telematics application, satellite service, digital TV, electronic system security solution, RFID equipment manufacturing, e-procurement management, e-commerce, e-business, distance learning, web design, digital printing, digital media entertainment, etc.
“Potential beneficiaries” – beneficiaries of a share are defined as unemployed persons registered in the DYPA registry who are not studying, working or not in training, aged 18 to 29, who submit a funding application that includes the proposal of their business plan.
The total amount of assistance is 14,800 euros – Emphasis on the digital economy.
Potential beneficiaries must collectively meet the following conditions:
• Establish your own business and conduct legal activities in Greece.
• Start of activity in DOU must take place after the date of submission of the application for funding and no later than 60 days from the date of posting the decision on the inclusion of activities on the DYPA website and notification of recipients by e-mail.
• Each potential beneficiary must submit only one application for funding.
The duration of the grant is 12 months and the total amount of EUR 14,800 will be paid in three installments.
