Ivan Fedorov, the pro-Ukrainian mayor of Melitopol, claims that the families of Russian soldiers have begun to be evacuated from the city, reports “Ukrainian Pravda”, quoted by Rador.
“After the active work of the Armed Forces of Ukraine last week, Russian servicemen began evacuating their families from Melitopol. We can clearly see this,” Fedorov wrote in Telegram.
At the same time, the mayor confirmed that after the Ukrainians bombed several bridges in the Kherson region, the local “leadership” of the occupiers began to retreat to Melitopol.
Meanwhile, the Russian occupiers have stepped up inspections of people’s homes in search of saboteurs.
The mayor also claims that the Russians even resorted to “mass filtering” of Melitopol’s population, people were interrogated even on the street.
“Ukrainian Pravda” reminds that on August 9, the Kherson Regional State Administration reported that the families of Russian servicemen began to be taken out of occupied Kherson after a new attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the strategic “Antonovsky” bridge.
On August 12, the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol reported that after a series of explosions at the airfield in Crimea, the families of Russian servicemen were evacuated from the coastal part of the occupied Mariupol.
