After a prominent news site broke the “breaking news” that Florin Salam, a well-known manele performer, had died in hospital of a drug overdose and the news quickly went viral, his family did everything they could to convince the press and audiences that Salam live.

If the efforts of his daughter or fellow guild members like Adi Minune failed, Salam would film himself and post a clip on Facebook showing himself sick but alive.

Salam suggests that he is infected with Covid and needs to be hospitalized and will be discharged in two days:

“I made this video for the whole family… A few days ago I was singing in a place and got sick with Covid. I advise you to take this disease seriously. I tell everyone to stay calm, that I will be fine and in two days they will let me go home,” says Salam.
