
We no longer represent DeLorean DMC-12which became famous for being used as a time machine in the trilogy Back to the future. As DeLorean prepares for its big comeback, this time with 100% electric models, the 1980s model is a collector’s delight.
Produced for two years between 1981 and 1983, the DMC-12 was penciled by Giorgetto Giugiaro and was the only model produced by the DeLorean Motor Company. Today, an almost updated copy went on sale from a car dealership in Florida, USA.
DeLorean DMC-12: 8,600 km on the clock
In the ad presented on the Podium Auto Sales website, it is indicated that the car put into circulation in 1983 yearstored in 1986 with 5397 miles (approx. 8,685 km) near the counter and that it was stored in an air-conditioned room.
To prepare her to hit the road again, she used a complete overhaul : Fuel pump, spark plugs, oil filter, fuel lines and coolant replaced and fuel tank drained.

DeLorean DMC-12: Sold for €95,000
In addition, the brake calipers were recently replaced, as well as the doors and luggage racks. Finally, the headliner was replaced with a completely new copy.
The car appears to be in immaculate condition and still has the original 1981 Goodyear tires. There are no scratches, except for a few folds and cracks in the leather seats that have appeared over time. This example retails for $98,000, equivalent to approx 95,400 euros.
DeLorean: the return to 100% electric
In a few days, DeLorean will make its big return to the public and go to Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegancewhich will take place on August 21, 2022.
In addition to the descendant of the DMC-12, called DeLorean Alpha 5, the manufacturer plans full spectrum vehicles, which may include a 100% electric SUV.
