Four more crews from Romania qualified for the medal finals at the European Rowing Championships in Munich on Friday, bringing the number of boats in the A final to nine.

to women’s doubles academyOlympic champions Simona Radis and Ankuca Bodnar won the second semi-final on Friday (07:13.40), writes Agerpres.

Mihaice Tsiganescu, Mugurel Vasile Semchuk, Stefan-Konstantin Berariu, Florin Lehaci won in the second series of requalification at four frame males (06:27,68).

Marius Kozmiyuk and Serhiu Bezhan will perform in the A final male double frame after winning the first semi-final (06:58.85).

Guys from four oarsMihai Chirucha, Ciprian Tudose, Ioan Prundianu, Marian Enake took second place in the first semi-final (06:15.23).

The women’s rowing foursome of Emanuela-Ioana Chotau, Christina Druge, Julia-Liliana Beluke and Patricia Sires finished the requalification race in last, sixth place (07:03.80) and will compete in the B final.

Five crews advanced directly to Thursday’s medal finals: women’s sculls, women’s 8+1 sculls, women’s sculls, men’s 8+1 sculls and women’s sculls in the lightweight category.

On Saturday, Andriy-Sebastian Cornea and Christian-Ionuc Cojocaru will perform in the semi-finals of the men’s rowing doubles.

Romania is participating with 11 crews and 39 athletes at the European Championships in Munich on August 11-14.
